Measurement Instructions

Below is just a guide. We recommend that whenever possible you get a qualified seamstress to measure your dress size. Always get someone else to make the measurements for you: measuring yourself will give inaccurate numbers and could lead to disappointment. Measure with undergarments similar to those you will wear with your dress; do not measure over other clothing.

Bust Not your bra size! But you must wear a bra when taking this measuring. Take the tape around your back and bring it across the fullest part of your bust.   Waist This is the smallest part of your waist. Typically it's an inch or so above belly button.   HipsThis is the widest part of your hips, across the hipbone. Measurement is taken approximately 7 inches below the natural waistline.   Shoulder to Hem Measure from the shoulder point, and take the tape through the bust point, then down to the hem at one side.  (Long Style)
     
Shoulder to Hem Measure from the shoulder point, and take the tape through the bust point, then down to the hem at one side. (Short Style)   Armscye Take the tape around the shoulder. This measurement gives the size of the sleeve hole that you are comfortable wearing.   Bicep Around Take the tape around the arm at the fullest part of upper arm.   Front Length Shoulder to Waist Measure from the top of your shoulder OVER your bust straight down to the ribbon on your waist.
     
Length Arm to Elbow Measure from the armpit to elbow.   Length Shoulder to BustMeasure from the top of your shoulder down to bust point(nipple).   Neck Around Take the tape around the neck loosely.   Nipple To Nipple measure from bust point to bust point.
     
Outer Leg Measure from waist to floor WITH your shoes on.   Shoulder To ShoulderTake the tape from the edge of that shoulder socket, measure all the way over to the same point on the other along the back.   Under Bust Measure under your breasts in the same manner as measuring over them.   Upper Bust Measure above your breasts in the same manner as measuring across them.
         
Upper Arm LengthMeasure from the outer shoulder down to elbow.   Arm LengthTake the tape along the arm relaxed down at your sides. Measure from shoulder point to wrist arm bent.        

 

 Measuring tips:

  • 1. For customer who likes to choose customized service, the correct size measured by professional tailor with your underwear on is strongly recommended.
  • 2. If you like to make the measurement by yourself, please measure by the assistance of your friend.
  • 3. The person to be measured should wear corsetry in a natural and upright state.
  • 4. Please keep the tape be aclinic, not too loose or tight.
  • 5. The style with sleeves Need more measurement information.
  • 6. Please offer the shoes heel height and make sure you will wear the same height heel to match the dress which you ordered on the wedding day, especially for floor length dresses.
  • 7. When the skirt length is NOT to floor, which is Knee-length /Tea-length /Ankle-length, Please make the measurement from shoulder to the skirt hem which you hope the skirt hem ending position. This data is very important to make the correct skirt length which you need.

For Maternity Dresses

 

     
Upper Bust
Measure around the highest part of your chest directly under the arms.Your arms should be relaxed, down at your sides.
  Bust
Bust - Not your bra size! Take the tape around your back and bring it across the fullest part of your bust. Your arms should be relaxed, down at your sides. You must wear a bra when taking this measurement.
  Under Bust
Measure immediately underneath the breasts (around the chest).
  Around Belly
Measure around the fullest part of your belly keeping the tape measure a little loose for comfort.
         
Hips
Hips- This is the widest part of your hips, across the hipbone. Measurement is taken approximately 7 inches below the natural waistline. This measurement is not needed for full gowns.
  Hollow to Floor
Hollow to Floor- This is the length from your hollow ( the hollow just under your neck ) to your heels. (Take the tape from your front, with bare foot ). You should stand upright and your feet should keep together.
